AH! Im going to write a blog! So lately so much has been happening and I kind of gave up on Blogging for a while, a long while mostly to really focus on my academics. Nerdy I know but Im not even kidding.
As you all may know I am in ASL 3 now about to end this semester in 4 more classes and go on to ASL 4, my last and final class. As I approach this last and final class it makes me realize what I have given up to make this dream succeed. I never once in my life thought that I could succeed at learning a new language, much less one where you can't even talk. And as the end comes closer the sadder I get. Even though these classes get stressful, very very stressful it is something that I enjoy learning and I cant remeber the last time I said I enjoyed learning something in school besides P. E. or Political Science. I love all the friends and family I have made in the process and I know that even though ASL 4 isn't the end of my ASL learning days because I will need to learn so much more, I still know that I wont be able to walk into my classroom twice a week to see my friends and talk about random stuff or how terrible our videos were!
I have succeeded so much this semester alone it makes me proud for myself to be in the position I am in. I am excited for ASL Club and what exactly we can do with it next semester to make it even better not only for our members but for the seniors graduating as well! I am excited about being the ASL Vice President! Even though I don't think that I deserve the position, I think it is where I need to be right now in my life. Getting another shot to learn with my friends and see things through their perspective.
And let's not forget Volleyball! Who knew we could actually win? I am so proud of our team coming together and just having fun! Thats what it was all about! And we actually had a couple volleyball beasts out there! Anyway great job team!
This really has been my favorite semester so far in my college career! Just learning and growing within myself in just a couple months can put a whole new spin on the way of life. Thank you to my support system which includes my family (mother of course listening to me rant about my classroom problems) Chad for also hearing me rant, probably the most because youre there when it happens haha and my friends who deal with the same issues as me! I know college is tough but we can all pull through especially when we don't have to face things alone. I can't wait to spend a whole nother semester with yall folk. haha
