Rock n' Roll Marathon

To Whom It May Concern:
I am participating in my very first half- marathon in Downtown Savannah on November 5, 2010.  It is called the “Rock n’ Roll Marathon” in hopes in finding a cure for Cancer and supporting those who are currently battling this disease.  I am actually participating in another charity called the “Matthew Freeman Project” which is partnering up with the “Rock n’ Roll Marathon” as well.  The “Matthew Freeman Project” is basically a charity organization started by an American Soldier who died in battle. Their Mission:
“To honor the memory of Marine Captain Matthew C. Freeman by realizing his vision of helping children in Afghanistan and other war-torn countries worldwide, principally where American armed forces are, or have been present, by delivering school supplies, especially pens and paper, to help continue their education and improve literacy; to honor God by promoting communities of promise, prosperity, and peace.”
I have a very strong compassion for this charity organization, and have been a part of it for a while now. By joining this team they will ultimately pay for my admission to run this half- marathon if I raise minimum 200 dollars. Even though they include my admission, I have decided to pay 100 dollars myself just to help these kids out.  These kids value education to a whole new level and would rather have pens and paper then food to eat.  Pens & Paper for Peace is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to collecting pens, paper, and other school supplies in cities and towns across the United States and sending them to U.S. military personnel for distribution in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other war-torn countries where children’s education has been interrupted by armed conflict. All donations are tax-deductible.
Even though all I have to raise is 100 dollars, I am trying to get the word spread. Every dollar counts for these children.  If you would like to donate you can send the donation to the return address provided.  If you have any questions you can call me at 912-656-1745. Any additional information about either the “Rock n’ Roll” Marathon or the “Matthew Freeman Project” can be found at these web addresses:

Anything counts. If you would like to donate to this charity, you can email me at Sarwarren@valdosta.edu, call me at 912-656-1745, or message me on facebook of course and I can give you my address or anything further information. This is obviously a letter I am sending out to a few people that I made into a blog, but spread the information! Literally, a dollar makes a difference.
